Sarah Murdoch is currently touring Italy with Fame the Musical playing Miss Sherman.
Fame jr. The Musical portrays a group of talented and passionate students of the High School of Performing Arts in New York in the 80s. Among them is Nick, an aspiring actor who is too focused on studies to accommodate the advances of Serena, the classmate in love with him; Schlomo, the violinist, who falls in love with the beautiful Carmen, ambitious and promising dancer, who will leave school to pursue his dream in Los Angeles; and Tyrone, dancer talented but poor in academics. Next to them are the dance teacher, Greta Bell, and the literature of Esther Sherman, both eager to give students opportunities for personal development, both as artists and as people.“Fame – De Silva said the same – tells of the love for art experienced by some adolescents and how important it is in their growth and human formation. It is surprising to find out what could have great positive influence on the growth of a teenager studying one of these disciplines. “
